The company conducts mineral exploration activities. It was established and incorporated in 1893. The registered business office of the company is located in Madrid, Spain. The main activity of the company is the extraction of carbon in the Cinera-Matallana basin in the province of Leon. It also extracts carbon, which is destined mainly for the electric energy sector. The company operates three extraction projects. The project comprises Aurelio del Valle and Eloy Rojo, located in Santa Lucia, and Emilio del Valle, located in Tabliza, which approximately produce 1.2 million tons per year.
